Agents from the Border Patrol helped rescue a woman trapped in her vehicle in the Buena Vista lagoon in Carlsbad on Wednesday, after the driver’s vehicle careened off the Interstate near State Route 78. According to SignOnSanDiego, the woman’s vehicle landedupside down in the lagoon, and trapped her in the vehicle. Other motorists who saw the auto accident flagged down members of the Border Patrol, who helped to free the woman from the overturned vehicle, which was floating in several feet of water. The agents were able to wade into the lagoon to free the woman. The driver was reportedly not seriously injured.
