Multi Car Crash Leaves at Least 5 Injured on I-5

| Nov 21, 2013 | Firm News

A crash on Interstate 5 involving at least four vehicles resulted in a number of injuries Thursday morning. Two of the injured were believed to have suffered major trauma. The accident occurred near Gilman Drive. Reports indicate the two of the seriously injured had pulled over into the emergency lane, and had raised the hood of their car to check their car trouble. A vehicle then ran into their vehicle, and sent the two men flying into the freeway traffic, where they were hit by more than one vehicle. It was not known what caused the vehicle to hit them in the emergency lane.

The crash resulted in a serious traffic jam, and resulted in some unexpected additional drama. An expectant mother on her way to Scripps Hospital to deliver her child was forced to deliver on the side of the road. Paramedics were delayed in reaching her because of the traffic. Fortunately, mother and child are reportedly doing fine, with no complications.
