The San Diego Union-Tribune reports this morning that three people were hospitalized after a crash that left their vehicle split in two following an accident on I-15. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. The accident occurred about 1 a.m. when the driver was traveling south on I-15, and apparently lost control of the car and crashed into a concrete divider. The California Highway Patrol reported that the Dodge Neon was “ripped in half” by the accident, and that half the car flew over to the other side of the freeway. This auto accident caused much of the freeway to be closed for several hours. Although the accident was spectacular, the injuries are believed to be only moderate, and not life threatening.
