Trial is set to start today in Garden Grove for Alex Trujillo, who is accused of crashing his car into a bicyclist and killing her while under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol. Trujillo has pleaded not guilty to felony murder in the death of Catherine Busse of Seal Beach.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Trujillo had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 when he crashed his pickup into the victim in October, 2008. Trujillo had previously been convicted of driving under the influence. He faces a possible sentence of 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
