Mold may be sign of construction defect, even in new homes

Mold can be a serious issue when it is growing in your home. Homeowners in California should be aware of the dangers of mold growth and what they can do to prevent mold in their home. Mold can be difficult to detect when it is growing in your home. Mold typically begins to grow when their spores are on wet surfaces. Mold requires moisture or water to grow so homeowners should be aware of when mold may be present and the different types of mild that can grow. Mold can be white or black. Both can become hazardous to your health, which is why it is so important to know the risks and signs of mold. Why is mold so dangerous? The impact of mold on a person’s health is listed below:

  • Allergic reactions-symptoms include fever-like symptoms

  • Eye, skin, throat and lung irritation

Mold exposure can be very hazardous to your health, especially if you are exposed to mold in your home over a long time period. If you suspect you have mold or if you discover mold in your home, it is important to not only clean up the mold but also fix any water or moisture problems in your home or else mold will just continue to grow. In some cases, it is best to consult a professional company to inspect and remove mold in your home to prevent exposure and other side effects that can be dangerous to your health.
